VP & THE JUMPER LEADS
Traditional electric blues practitioners VP & The Jumper Leads pull from a trove of blues influences to capture the spirit of American West-coast blues and vintage rock and roll. Vic Polyik fronts the band and is an accomplished harmonica player who learned the craft from true harmonica blues masters while residing in the US (Pacific North West) and Canada.

Australian harmonica ace and blues defender, Vic Polyik moved to Canada, where he established himself as a significant blues musician active in the early 1990s and 2000s. He devotedly started to play the harmonica when he was sixteen. Victor has developed a dynamic harmonica style with a huge tone and a strong sense of swing inspired by the likes of Little Walter and William Clarke. Fourteen years in Canada saw Vic play and record with some of blues finest, including; Shuggie Otis, Jack Lavin (Powder Blues), Guitar Shorty, Amos Garrett and Jeff Simmons of Frank Zappa’s Mothers. Since returning to Australia in 2005, Vic’s worked with Australian music icon Don Walker (songwriter for Cold Chisel), Louis King and many prominent Australian blues performers.
